The Border and its Surroundings
If we set a cross where an migrant has died… the border area would be a cemetery. Let’s take a moment to think about the 8,000 people who have died trying to cross the border. Please do not forget about our brothers and sisters who left everything behind and couldn’t reach a dream. La intención de estas fotografías es conmemorar a los muertos y concientizar a los vivos. Both sides of the border have good and bad qualities, weaknesses and strengths. I don’t think about any of the sides as the happiest or saddest “city in the world”. In contrast I think “The saddest part of the world” is the border, the fence, la frontera.
